Morning Itinerary

Arrive, check in, collect your welcome pack, grab a coffee and settle into the morning.

An overview of the day, what to expect, and how we’ll move through the morning together.

Fuelling your body well for sustained energy during an ultra race takes a lot of practice in training.

Even seasoned athletes struggle to dial in their race nutrition strategy.

Ultra runners face two main nutrition challenges:

  • Your stomach refuses to co-operate.
  • Your fuelling drops off half way through the race

Rebecca will show you how to recognise your race challenges and provide you with actionable methods that will help resolve your stomach issues and sustain your energy levels throughout the race.

You will leave knowing how to put together and practise your race nutrition and hydration strategy.

Grab a coffee, hydrate, and enjoy a moment to pause and connect.

Sleep is a performance enhancing tool that is underutilised and misunderstood by most ultra runners.

Learning how to sleep effectively isn’t just about hours in bed and giving your body and mind the chance to reset. Optimising your rest and recovery will significantly enhance your performance and it’s the foundation that all your other behaviours rely upon.

Many ultra runners know they need quality rest before a race, but when sleep is short or fragmented, most don’t know how to best resolve this.

  • Discover ways optimise and improve pre-race sleep.
  • Understand how to manage fatigue and sleep during your race to support your performance.

Charlotte will help you identify where you can do better with your recovery strategies in the lead up to your race, and provide you with practical tools that will help you make better decisions and manage your fatigue during your race, enabling you to finish faster, happier and safer.

Grab a coffee, hydrate, and enjoy a moment to pause and connect.

Ultra running isn’t lost in your legs. It’s lost in your head.

When fatigue hits and discomfort sets in, that inner voice telling you to quit can feel overwhelming.

Kaz will share how to stay present through pain and uncertainty, and help you remain focused, resilient, and fully engaged when the race gets hard.

  • Learn practical ways to manage self-doubt and quiet racing thoughts.
  • Unlock approaches to stay strong and motivated when discomfort peaks.

Because the race isn’t won by your legs, it’s won by the decisions you make when every fiber of your being wants to stop.

Let’s turn those “I want to quit” moments into breakthroughs, so you finish faster, smarter, and stronger than you ever thought possible.

A chance to reflect, ask questions, and share insights with all three speakers.

Wrapping up the morning with key takeaways and what to carry forward into your training and racing.
